Nob Hill~San Francisco
Huntington Park at the apex of Nob Hill is an oasis of elegant old San Francisco charm and Robber Baron history. For years I jogged the long block around the park at night to taxi whistles, the California Street Cable Car clanging by, and the clicking of high-heels rushing to rendezvous at the Mark Hopkins, Pacific Union Club, or the Fairmont Hotel. At Halloween the park's London Plane trees are bare like witches talons, during the holidays they sparkle with lights, and bloom with the Cherry Blossoms in Spring. Read Yelp raves for the park HERE.
During the autumn moon the park offers a spectacular vantage down Nob Hill's steep slope through the Financial District and spot an immense golden orb suspended just above the East Bay Bridge like a Hollywood film shot.
