Carmel Art Festival

Each May on the weekend following Mother's Day, the Carmel Art Festival paints the town and visitors from around the globe arrive toting their Louis Vs.

Receptions and dinners beginning Thursday night impart a gala air to the start of events. Friday and Saturday finds painters madly mixing hues in the park, along Mission Street, and in plein air venues like the Carmel Mission and along the Monterey Bay, as wine flows freely in galleries, and picturesque spots like Casanova restaurant and the Cypress Inn--pictured above.
