I was so saddened to hear the children of Mary Kennedy suffered the immense, tragic loss of their beloved mother. They lose even more of her, and more of themselves, by inaccurate media portrayals of her. Her siblings created a site to convey her truly rare and beautiful soul: HERE
While mulling over how families fall apart, I received this short piece on nature, beauty, and gratitude emailed by a friend: HERE I need beautiful nature and gravitate to what is healthy, elemental and organic--and thus am always drawn to spiritually enriching places like the waterside villages of France. Including the medieval Saint-Cirq-Lapopie (above). A video tour: HERE
I love France for many reasons, primarily because my son was educated there, has dual US-French citizenship, and has now resided in Europe for half his life. Because he is there~I must be too. My greatest blessing is my son. And so it was even more heartrending to see photos of Mary Kennedy's 17-year old son, Conor, her 'Prince' standing like a ghost at her grave. She was hounded to death--and now she and her son will miss out on each other for life. The situation is Shakespearean.
There are unbreakable laws of the universe. What we love, cherish, protect and affirm grows; what is devalued, denied, and dismissed dies away. There is wisdom in gratitude and cherishing the things that matter. There is wisdom in 'Follow Your Bliss' and in chasing what posses eternal beauty and not the mere tinsel of material things. And especially in creating beauty that lasts: HERE and HERE.
